….sometimes she seems as elusive as memories of a childhood Saturday morning….but when she is there with you, its like when a flood of memories hit you at the whiff of a familiar smell….you work feverishly trying to collect it all….
….i think the pug is hoping for a full time paid position though….around my house, my studio is also affectionatey refered to as’ day care’….on any given day ,you will find all three of us just blankly staring at a blank panel for hours….

As easy as 1 2 3!
Not sure why, but i have always loved things in 3’s…..well, so many things as a kid are in 3’s….you ride a tricycle, there’s 3 blind mice, lets not forget the 3 little pigs…..then as we get older there’s all those wonderful musical groups of 3, the Supremes, Bee Gee’s, Police, and the list goes on…..plus i loved Charlie’s Angels, see again, 3’s…..anyway, todays post is brought to you by the #3!

Still life….(noun) a painting or drawing of an arrangement of objects, typically includingfruit and flowers and objects contrasting with these in texture, such as bowls and glassware.
Sure…. i love them now…..but as a young art student nothing struck more fear in me as the teacher uttering the words “still life” as the days assignment! Mostly because i had one teacher who took entirely to much pleasure in putting together the craziest of discarded objects for us to draw….now that i look back at my old sketch books, those still life drawings look like the rough sketches of some art installation in a SOHO gallery….hmmm
